I remember playing on a session with Rod (McCormack) some years back & he bought out this amazing sounding instrument called a Papoose & I instantly fell in love with it. We just had to have it on this track.
Kym Warner, (a wonderful artist who lives in the US now) was in town & he came in & played some Mandolin for us. Free of charge. I love that shit...
Close your eyes breathe in deep
Give me all your trust
Sink into sleep
Know your friends keep them close
It’s not the end
So
Don’t cry anymore
Please don’t cry anymore
Watch your back but look ahead
Stay on track somebody said
So shut your mouth
Keep your cards close
You’ll find out
Don’t cry anymore
Please don’t cry anymore
Everything changes here tonight
Burning the pages here tonight
Nothings remaining here tonight
Cause everything’s gonna be alright
Call it survival call it fate
I’m not that impulsive but I just can’t wait
Look around listen close
Don’t make a sound
Don’t cry anymore
Please don’t cry anymore
Everything changes here tonight
Burning the pages here tonight
Nothings remaining here tonight
Cause everything’s gonna be alright
Tonight
Sit tight
Alright
