about

Every album needs a ballad & we tracked this a few different ways to finally settle on this instrumentation. Strings were calling out so I called on master arranger Larry Muhoberac to help & it came out beautiful we think.

R.I.P. Larry, Kere & Glenn.

lyrics

In Too Deep. (Bidmead/ Buchanan).

Sometimes a glance is all it takes
To move a world or change a heart
And circumstance can lead to fate
That’s when your future becomes the past

But when the nighttime holds you close
You can be anybody
Sometimes your destiny
Looks you right between the eyes

I’m in too deep I get no sleep
I’m in way over my head without you
The two of us might not mean much to you
But I still believe there’s a way
To come back from this emptiness
And find a way back home again

You call my name in so much pain
And turn my whole world inside out
I might pretend but every now and then
I can’t breathe out anymore

And then I sink into those dreams
Where you come back to me and then
My life dissolves between
The scenes of what we had

Chorus

Baby it just seems too bad
As I put my life back piece by piece
Like somehow we both tried much too hard

And if the nighttime gets you down
You know you can always call me
Sometimes your destiny
Hits you right between the eyes

I’m in too deep I get no sleep
I’m in way over my head
The two of us might not mean much to you
But I still believe it

I’m in too deep I get no sleep
I’m in way over my head without you
The two of us might not mean much to you
But I still believe there’s a way
